Headcanon: Beau's fins don't somehow disappear into his body, but fold against him.
I know that might conflict with the whole "gotta keep the gold dragon hidden" thing, but really; beau -just- changes color and has fins. If people can't put the two together from their body shape/structure, I think we're good.
