Icarus

I was talking to my dear friend the other day about the story I'm writing, and I made a change to one of the characters, Longstride, so I was telling her about it.

Me- "So y'know how he lives in mountain crags and all?"
Friend- "Yeah."
Me- "Well, at first he had paws for climbing, but you know what's even better-suited for mountain crags?"
Friend- "Grappling hooks?"
Me- "PFFFFFFHEHEEHEE, YES, HE HAS GRAPPLING HOOKS FOR PAWS, NOW."

So, this guy came to be. For some reason, the name Icarus came to me, so that's why he has scars on his shoulders, from when his wings were ripped out for some unknown reason.
I like his claws. 0u0

PS- The answer to the question to my friend was hooves (IE- mountain goat).
